| I want...an espresso machine. XD
I'm just kidding, there's nothing that I really want or need. My family makes wishlists of little things (at least my sister and I do) and then we do a secret santa for big groups of friends or family gatherings and smaller gift exchanges with others we're closer to. XD Luckily the things we exchange are more for fun (it's easiest when your friends like to drink, then you just go out and buy the biggest bottle of whatever, slap a bow on it and give it to them) or some funny joke-gift.
>> Buying for my parents is still the hardest though, I have no idea what to give them. A weekend for two somewhere? Symphony tickets? ?.?
Money and gift cards seem so impersonal though. :o

| When my family first started the secret santa, they discouraged people from putting gift certificates down. But then they ended up with weirdos like my cousin and me that the things we want are not things that say, my aunty would be able to find easily on her own. In this wonderful age of technology, my aunts still don't know how to purchase anything online. Reality is also that the stores here in Hawaii suck. End result? Gift cards are now valid territory that is normally taken advantage of. As a gag note: my cousin picked me for the secret santa last year and I had asked for some DVD series I wanted for anime. This cousin is very busy and apparently didn't get the time to go to a store to pick up the series for me. Though to his credit the stores on his island are even worse than the ones here. Instead what does he do? He buys a box of 100 envelopes, and then goes to the bank. He then sealed one dollar bill into each evenlope, made sure that they weren't even all facing the same direction, and replaced them into the box, resealed the box, and then wrapped that as my present. I even have a picture. | |

| :o That's so sad sounding! What kind of rats? I like them, but their tails are a little odd...
XDDD And the 100 envelopes sounds awesome mama, cool idea! But I see what you mean by giftcards...other than the stores, how's living in Hawaii? Erk, offtopic, nevermind.
